My paintings are very happy and full of rich, bright colors. The colors work with contrast and harmony. I transform objects, places and emotions into passages of color, shape and texture. Palette knives, chopsticks and combs create special marks and textures to reveal areas of hidden colors. They are applied sometimes timidly, gently “kissing” the surface of the painting, or with great force, digging and gouging into it. The many transparent layers intensify the hidden qualities of my work. My goal is not to tell you everything about the painting in five minutes or less, but to allow you to discover your own meaning of my work over time. Hopefully every time
